Description:
Primary Responsibilities
Provide prompt and efficient claim service to policyholders in accordance with Company policies and practice. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below.
•Review first notice and perform necessary triage to determine coverage and appropriate investigation needs.
•Determine the need for, assign to and direct independent adjuster and/or other vendors as warranted.
•Establish and maintain adequate reserves on all assigned claims up to approved settlement authority level or as directed by supervisor or manager.
•Communicate with agents, policyholders, reinsurers and independent adjusters in regard to status of the claim.
•Maintain communication with claims management and the underwriting department on any problems, complaints or unusual circumstances that would affect the insurability of an account.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
•College Degree or equivalent related experience including 5 or more years of related claims experience.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to understand coverage and policy language.
•Investigative skills and inquisitive nature.
•Ability to work under time constraints.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to meet and maintain appropriate state licensing requirements where required through continuing education.
